Mirror! by Noor Ul Ain - Pakistan
“It happened again, Dr saab!” Rafique spoke as his handcuffs made noise.
“Again?” Dr Shahid looked at him through his old spectacles with rhinestones on their rims.
“Yes! You said the new medicine will stop it. But it still happened. I swear I didn't want to hurt anyone this time, but they keep on coming.” Rafique spoke as if on the verge of tears. A policeman was sitting beside him, holding his handcuffs and constantly monitoring him.
“Hmm, how did he come this time?” Dr Shahid asked as he sipped his tea nonchalantly.
“The same way as always.”
“Through the mirror?”
“Yes, through the mirror. What else? I always told you that’s the only way they can come from the Horo-logi-um galaxy.” He struggled to pronounce the difficult word.
“Hmm, the Greys you say.”
“Yes!!!”
“But why do you think they use mirrors?”
“I think I told you before,” Rafique spoke in a tired voice.
“Yeah, but just for keeping track.” Dr Shahid took out a diary and started scribbling something on it.
“Their aircraft can’t penetrate Earth’s magnetic field.”
“Interesting. Have they tried?”
“Yes, they say creating chaos on a planet makes the magnetic field weak. It gets easier to penetrate. This is what they have been doing for several years.”
“I see. I see. So, you think all the chaos is because of them.”
“Absolutely. The Greys can shape-shift, and they have started their new operation.”
“A new operation?”...
