The Case of a Monster Bunny by Syeda Dua e Zehra - Pakistan

What we fear often becomes true. That’s what happened today with the citizens of my area. It was in the news that a monster was on the loose in Pindi, ripping apart everything that came in its way, buildings and humans alike. Another horrifying thing about monsters is that they can move. This means that the destruction is not limited to a single place. Once it is done with Pindi, the monster will head for Islamabad, where I live.

A monster has no allies. It would destroy anything and everything it sees. And today, it saw my locality.

I was on my way back home on the bus, reading a scientific journal as usual when it happened. The roof of the bus thudded as the creature leaped on it. A typical beast would chase the bus, punch the window panes and then break in. But this one was different. This one was intelligent. Quite strategic. It surreptitiously crawled on the bus roof like a quiet cat and then jumped in through the roof hatch.

Damn it!
